A female age 37 years, approached us with the diagnosis of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. She complained of low mood, irritability, anxiety issues, dry skin, and hair loss.
She also reported of having strong family history of autoimmunity and history of multiple allergies running in the family. Her anti-thyroid antibody panel was at worst.
Her thyroglobulin antibody (Anti TG) was excessively raised @333.73IU/mL (normal is <4.11), also thyroid peroxidaseantibodies (anti TPO) was abnormally high @228.81 U/ml ( normal is <5.61).
Ferritin level was @7ng/mL which is low (normal is 10-154). Her vitmain B12 was also down @189pg/mL (optimum is 600-1100) and vitamin D showed low level @19.3ng/mL (optimum is 70-90).
Her heavy metal scan and minerals testing results showed low levels of zinc, copper, chromium and abnormally accumulated selenium, aluminum, and cadmium.
Also she was tested for allergies, which revealed she was ingesting food products which she was allergic to.
Her treatment protocol included compounded bio-identical thyroid with combination of T3 and T4, intensive liver detox, nutraceuticals for gut healing and preventing histamine reactions, also dietary corrections were done. She was advised to avoid food she was allergic to as per her food allergy report, and nutritional supplements to cover up deficiencies were prescribed.
After following the treatment for 9 months, the results were astonishing, her anti TG was now normal and dropped to 3.46IU/mL from @333.73IU/mL (normal is <4.11), and her anti TPO was now@4.51 U/ml earlier it was @228.81 U/ml (normal is <5.61).
She started to feel more energetic, less anxious, less irritable, skin dryness improved significantly, and she now continues to be on smallest dose of compounded thyroid.
