Estrogen dominance and its consequences
Estrogen dominance is when estrogen becomes more plentiful than progesterone, this imbalance leads to hampering progesterone from preventing breast cancer, Endometrial cancer, PMS, PCOD, Fibroids and other hormone dependent conditions from occurring.
Our environment and our choices are largely responsible for this imbalance, we at “Freedom age” bring you some tips to prevent this imbalance from occurring :

Primary causes:
PARABENS: Parabens are xenoestrogens (chemical estrogens) and can mimic estrogen in the body. Exposure to parabens increases the likelihood of early puberty and can increase the risk of breast cancer. Read product labels and don’t use items with parabens.
BPA’s:
BPA is linked to early puberty. All canned foods (most are lined with BPA), it’s recommended to use glass or stainless steel to store foods and avoid cash register receipts.
Avoid cash register receipts. It is a little-known fact that there is more BPA on cash register receipts than in plastic water bottles! Other paper products contain BPA as well, so reduce use of paper towels and napkins, and always wash hands after handling toilet and copy paper.
- Avoid air fresheners, candles, and other products that use synthetic fragrance
- Avoid all plastic food containers and water bottles
- Drink plenty of water
- Avoid using paper napkins
- Avoid using scented wet towels
- Increase intake of Omega-3s, Vitamin E, and other detox supplements.
- Reduce intake of sugar and carbohydrates
- Don’t use any personal or beauty products containing parabens
- Serve organic, whole foods whenever possible. Meats should be grass-fed and dairy products obtained from pastured animals.
- Get good quality sleep. Try to go to bed by 10:00pm
- Keep your cell phone in a bag or purse and not in a pocket or tucked in a bra
Estrogen dominance symptoms can be greatly improved and even be reversed by balancing the excess estrogen and reversing the estrogen dominance with natural bio identical progesterone.
